Those were the stirring days of Telangana agitation. The Telangana agitation had rocked not only the State but also the entire Country. The poverty and backwardness in all their manifestations underscored a dire need for the spread of education in this part of the country. It was against that backdrop, Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy College was founded in Bhongir town in 1973.
The proposal of starting a Degree College was first piloted by Sri K.Jagmohan, a veteran Teacher, Social activist and practising lawyer. In order to translate his proposal into a living reality he met Late Shankarji, the moving spirit behind Osmania Graduates' Association, a unique body of its kind, committed to the cause of education and upliftment of the downtrodden in Telangana region.

steadily and it blossomed into a Post Graduate Centre accommodating distance learning centres like Indira Gandhi National Open University in 1987, SDLCE of Kakatiya University in 1991 and Lal Bahadur College of Education in 2003-2004.

The Exhibition Society has provided 39 Rooms (Ground Floor 20 Rooms and 1st Floor 19 Rooms). It is located in a sprawling area of 15 acres. The Exhibition Society is also kind enough to provide 8 buses to carry children from different villages with in a radius of 30 Kms. Nearly 750 students utilize this opportunity. The Exhibition Society has also provided a mineral water plant with a capacity of 250 litres per hour. It has also provided permanent sheds for the school buses and multi purpose sheds for the future utilization. Totally the school gives a congenial academic atmosphere in a serene locality, ideal for education.

The establishment of the College was possible, when the neighbouring "New Club" agreed to partwith 4 acres of its leased land along with some temporary structures to the Exhibition Society. Shri. Madan Mohan, one of our senior Members was responsible in persuding the New Club in taking this decision.

Achievements: The institution was started with a modest strength of 175 students and today it has grown to such a level where it caters to over 2600 students, with 95 faculty members, many of whom are Doctorates on roll under 20 different departments. Today it has under-Graduate and Post Graduate Courses in several disciplines.

Smt Indira Gandhi Ji in 1966. The Silver Jubilee Celebrations were attended by former Prime Minister - Late Sri Rajiv Gandhi Ji in 1987. We have well equipped labs and a building with a total plinth area of 75000 sq. ft. An additional accommodation is planned to start an Engineering College which will cater to the Human Resource needs exclusively for women.

Achievements: This polytechnic college started with 140 students in the year 1961 and has flourished as the first-of-its-kind Women’s Polytechnic. The institute has educated about 20000 women engineering and technical professionals.
