Hyderabad Police Launch Road Safety & Safety Awareness Drive at Numaish

Hyderabad, Telangana — Hyderabad City Police launched a comprehensive road safety and public safety awareness drive at the annual Numaish Exhibition, setting up dedicated stalls to educate visitors on traffic rules, women’s safety, cyber safety, and public security.

The initiative was inaugurated by City Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar and Additional Director General of Police Charusinha. The objective of the drive is to bring police services closer to the public and raise awareness on safety-related issues in an interactive and accessible manner.

Speaking on the occasion, Commissioner Sajjanar said that Numaish has become an integral part of Hyderabad’s identity, alongside iconic landmarks such as Charminar. He highlighted the exhibition’s journey since 1938, noting its growth over the last 85 years into one of India’s largest industrial exhibitions, reflecting national integration and the city’s Ganga-Jamuni culture.

The police stalls focus especially on road safety education for children, encouraging parents to involve young visitors so they develop responsible traffic behavior from an early age. Special stalls by the Women Safety Wing, Bharosa, and She Teams address women’s safety and legal awareness, while cybercrime awareness counters educate visitors on preventing online fraud and seeking timely assistance.
